News and HighlightsAmb. Herbert Mrango - Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Infrastructure Development
PRESIDENT Jakaya Kikwete has appointed nine Deputy Permanent Secretaries for various ministries. The appointment began on July 15, 2010 while swearing-in ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 29. The appointees included Ambassador Herbert E. Mrango, who is the Director of the Regional Cooperation Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Ambassador Mrango becomes Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Infrastructure Development Ministry. Mr Ngosi C.X. Mwihava, currently the Deputy Commissioner (alternative energy) in the Ministry of Energy and Minerals appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary into the Vice-President's Office. Mr Rajab Gahama who is the Tanzania ambassador to Uganda has been appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Mr Mbogo Futakamba who was Director of Irrigation and Technical Services has been appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Water and Irrigation. Also President Kikwete has appointed Dr Yohana L. Budeba who is the Director at the Tanzania Fisheries Research Institute (TAFIRI), Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Livestock Development and Fisheries Ministry. Ms Maria H. Bilia who is the Kagera Regional Administrative Secretary has been appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development. Ms Nuru H. M. Mlao who is the Arusha Regional Administrative Secretary becomes Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Natural Resources. Mr Hussein A. Katanga who is the Morogoro Regional Administrative Secretary has been appointed Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children. |
